Dr. Koffler

Barry A. Koffler, M.D. is a Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon specializing in arthroscopic  joint surgery and total joint replacement. He completed undergraduate studies at the Hebrew University Of Jerusalem and Temple University where he graduated with a Bachelors degree in psychology in 1972.  


Dr. Koffler's medical school training was in an accelerated three year program at the University Of Miami's Leonard Miller School of Medicine from 1973 to 1976. After completing his internship and orthopaedic residency training at Georgia Baptist Hospital (Atlanta Medical Center) and Scottish Rite Hospital (Children’s Health Care of Atlanta) respectively, Dr. Koffler opened his solo Orthopaedic practice in Roswell, Georgia in 1981.


Over the course of the past decade, Dr. Koffler has dedicated time to bring medical care to those in need in Guatemala and Haiti. He has travelled several times to Guatemala with Flying Doctors of America. Immediately following the devastating 2010 earthquake in Haiti, Dr. Koffler traveled there to assist in the emergency recovery efforts. He has since returned to Haiti on two separate occasions with the Houston Haitian Relief Initiative.


Dr. Koffler is a board member of Ramah Darom where he volunteers time each summer as a resident-physician. He is involved with Refugee Resettlement Atlanta and is a supporter of many local causes.

After 45 years in private practice in Roswell, GA, Dr. Koffler is retiring effective September 1st 2021.
